Tips grief recovery

Tips for Keeping your health when you lose someone

When you lose someone due to illness, divorce, separation or trauma, we tend to close up our body and emotions to deal with the crisis. When the body tightens up the amount of oxygen going to all the body's tissues is decreased.

By doing this simple breathing exercise, our entire being can be healthier and the negative effects on our body decreased.

Inhale slowly to the count of 1000, 1001 up to 1005.
Then Hold for that same slow count 1000, 1001 etc. to 1005
Then breathe out slowly to the same count. Repeat the cycle several times.
Repeat when you feel your body tightening up
Repeat when you get teary again.
Repeat this several times per day and before going to sleep.
Do this any time during the day or night, you want to reduce tension , think more clearly even while walking.

**Do not do this exercise while driving.
